Ford Credit has been much more consistent in financing dealer inventory. The lender financed 81 percent of Ford, Lincoln and Mercury wholesale volume to dealers in the first half, up from 78 percent a year ago.
The recently launched Ford Figo, which marks the American car maker’s foray into the Indian small car segment, has an entry-level variant priced at Rs 3.66 lakh.
Lexus has long been the luxury champ, but BMW narrowed the gap in 2007 and 2008 before losing ground in 2009.
“The focus as of today will be on getting back to business,” Jan Ake Jonsson, CEO of Saab Automobile, told reporters today. Executives want to refocus the identity of the Saab brand “to create an innovative, free-thinking company based on our Swedishness,” he said.
