Nice read. Did not know that you were (or is it still are) in Chennai. Changes to beach in the garb of beautification is an on going affair – most are unmindful and rest are making money out of it.

I myself am a somewhat regular beach walker ! – Reasons are obvious. The early morning air gives you freshness and puts a spring into your life. You see so many people who are oblivious of any worries and in general, every one look seemingly happy and enjoying themselves – though the fact could be otherwise.

It becomes an ordeal to reach the beach though. The streets are increasingly becoming nastier and people turning more and more arrogant. Those who drive vehicles feel that the road is meant only for them and nobody else would even thought of using them.

The other stretch between Kannagi statue and Anna square is not in great shape. The inner road from Kannagi to Lighthouse is crowded. Chennai weather is also undergoing lot of changes – it is dark until 6.30 and by 8 am you start feeling the heat.

The soups and other potions are served from out of mangled bad looking used cool drink / water bottles and still people feel that they would do magic to one’s health.

I stumble across many of friends which include MVR Raman (my benchmate in + 2), S Venkatraman (affectionately known as Oombi – now on a transfer out of Chennai) – not to speak of the meeting with TA Sri as I start from home.

அந்த சூழலை நேரடியாக ரசித்திருந்தாலும், வீடியோவில் பார்க்கும் போது அந்த சில்லென்ற காற்று என் மனத்திலும் வந்து போகிறது.
